AFTON'S HAIR: a comedy

When our little girl was first born, she had a lot of hair.  A lot.  I mean, I'm not sure I've ever seen so much hair on a newborn baby before or since.

She was our little rock star.

Her hair was naturally a little mohawk, with a little tuft at the crown of her head, and a whole lot of party in the back.

Then it started to fall out.  She started looking like she had male-pattern baldness.

She wore a nice little bald spot into the back of her head too, as most little babies do.

However, she held on to that tuft at the crown of her head for a really long time, as well as the lower portion of the aforementioned party in the back (with a hole in the middle).

Then it started laying itself flat from all the weight, but that depends on your definition of "flat."  Honestly, I'd say it did more of a fold-over.  Those roots just like to stand on end.

She also managed to hold on to about 53 random hairs all over her head that happened to be about 5 inches long.

And that wasn't even a picture with back lighting--something that makes her bear a strange resemblance to Albert Einstein.  It was out of control.  So.......

Yes I did.

Fun fact: I could never remember which side that little tuft would flop over to naturally.  It never fell in the same direction two days in a row.  Case cracked: there was no natural direction.

Two competing cowlicks.  Impressive.

The poor girl has been sick this week.  AND she had to get shots yesterday.  Poor thing.  While most kids were getting Halloween treats, Afton was getting all tricks.  But doesn't she make a cute little bunny?
