A "parade" complete with Roman soldiers and Jesus actors as well as thousands of followers that filled our street that we got to watch sitting on our front porch. (Seriously thousands of people walked past our house, and most looked at us like clueless white people since everything was in Spanish). It wasn't really a parade--it was more of a mass exodus. Good Friday indeed.
On the second day after due date, fate had given me:
A lucky encounter with a cop who pulled us over for having expired tags and let us off the hook since they just expired the day before. He also looked at our car seat in the back because it wasn't secure and he was worried about our baby. It was okay when he saw that it was just random things sitting in it and the baby was still in my belly.
Ok, so we didn't actually get pulled over by Shawn Spencer, we just didn't get a picture. We almost asked the cop if we could, but figured we maybe ought to not push our luck.
On the third day after due date, fate had given me:
An Easter egg hunt! and a lot of condolences at church since I didn't anticipate being there today. However, in other good news, I can still have an Easter baby. And the longer she waits (and still shows her face today), the less hours that means I'll have to be in labor.
Even the baby got some Easter stuff... the bunny planned ahead, but apparently the baby did not.
Happy Easter Everyone!!!

OH MAN! I've been thinking about you...wondering if she had come yet... I hope you're in the hospital right now... Good Luck with everything! I'm SO excited to hear how it all goes!
ReplyDeleteAnd a Happy Easter to the House of Payne!
ReplyDeleteYou are so clever Michelle. I loved reading this post.
I'm so glad the Easter Bunny didn't forget the baby. He might have forgotten to charge his phone, but he didn't forget the baby. Whew.
Much love to you . . . we're rooting and praying for you.

I hope these posts don't have to continue! I want to see a baby! I love seeing glimpses of your new house...it's not depressing at all (like your last one...because it was so dark).
ReplyDeleteHope to see your baby soon!
Michelle and Ty! No baby yet?!?! I can't wait for PICTURES!!! Ty better be ready with the camera! Pictures of the new baby and pictures of your new house! We're so excited for you! We love you and good luck!
ReplyDeleteOh Michelle I'm so sorry that you don't have baby yet! I'm sure she will get here soon... I hope so anyway. PS I'm counting on pictures ASAP
ReplyDeleteIt's been killing me to not call and ask if today is THE DAY, but I remember how annoying it could be when people asked. I'm dying for this baby to come. You look great Michelle!
ReplyDeleteOh man, STILL no baby?? Bummer. Big time. Hang in there girl! It was so fun meeting up with you guys. I need your email so I can send you that recipe. ;) mine is cassidybaker at hotmail. com.
ReplyDeleteI hope that you are birthing that baby RIGHT NOW. I bet it is super soon...your baby looks like she's dropped or at least sittin' real low. Eat Fresh Pineapple. I tried it, but it didn't work immediately for me.
